Walk Safe! Young America

Robbie

Young Robbie, a keen footballer and a railway enthusiast, is persuaded by his big brother to go through a hole in a railway fence on to the track for some reason. His laces become caught on the tracks and he has an accident so serious that he will never play football again. A film for showing to eight to eleven-year old children and their parents, which points out the folly of breaking railway fences and trespassing on the line, and illustrates the immediate dangers. Part of BFI collection "The Age of the Train".

One Got Fat

This bicycle-safety film shows children what can happen when bicycles are driven carelessly and recklessly.

This highway scare film produced by the Highway Safety Foundation in 1971, "Decade of Death", is a retrospective of the organization's 10 years of gory, shocking social guidance films which aimed to promote traffic safety and driver responsibility through the display of bloody and horrific footage of traffic crashes.The Highway Safety Foundation made driver scare films such as "Signal 30," "Mechanized Death," and "Highways of Agony" that intended to encourage drivers to drive responsibly and with consideration of the risks and consequences. It was the organization's belief that crash footage, while horrific, was the best way to convey the importance of driving safely.

Devil Take Us

A motorcycle cop buys a used car to take his family on vacation to the East Coast. Minor car trouble along the way causes him to meet first a reckless driver, and then a highway patrolman who shares stories of bad drivers with him. Various dangers of careless driving - both fictional and real - are depicted as the patrolman continues on the job, later crossing paths with the reckless driver again. When the police officer makes the return trip from his vacation, he finds that the situation has changed in a surprising way.

The Barrier

Recent graduate, Arthur Macdonald, narrowly avoids a collision with a truck when he takes a short-cut to work. In his job as traffic safety engineer he proposes to erect a median barrier to prevent collisions. His proposal meets with derision from his boss and indifference from the politicians and the public, but Arthur isn't about to give up. He struggles on toward his goal, despite limited resources, office politics, and City politics.

Bill Burr: Let It Go

It’s always been a dream of mine to do a show at the Fillmore. The name itself is synonymous with legendary performances. Countless iconic musicians and comedians have been on that stage. To be a part of that history was something I’ll never forget. As much as I was trying to keep my head together before the show, I couldn’t help but feel like a tourist or just some random dude who won a contest. LET IT GO represents the culmination of material I developed on the road from 2008-2009. As always thanks to everyone who came out to my shows, laughed at the funny stuff and stared during the bombing. I hope you enjoy it. – Bill Burr
