Kenny G - Live at Montreux

Kenny G made his first appearance at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1987 on the back of his multi-platinum album "Duotones" and the hit single from it "Songbird", which was riding high in charts around the world as the festival got underway. The success of Kenny's first appearance led to an invitation to return the following year, when he included a track from his then yet to be released album "Silhouette" in the set. This DVD features the whole of the 1987 show and selected tracks from 1988 and captures Kenny G just as he was breaking through to global stardom. Hello

Hello explores changes in two people’s working lives: a Mexican trash picker who separates and collects recyclable materials from landfills to sell by the kilo, and a German freelance computer-animation designer working for the advertising industry in Berlin. The double interview is controlled and manipulated by a computer-generated severed hand which Maria describes as an object once discovered in the trash while working in the violent northern town of Mexicali. This CGI hand was in turn produced by Max, who was born with no arms, and sought refuge in computer-imaging as a means to operate and manipulate a digital reality.
