Elfriede Jelinek is the better known of the two, the great author with her analytical mind and her social commitment against the whole "politician's docks." The now deceased lyricist Elfriede Gerstl remains rather tender with her poetry, although her poems do not miss a certain amount of sharpness, albeit ironically packed. When the two Elfrieden sit in their Viennese coffee house and drink the little brown, they usually talk about clothes, they talk about the fashion that Elfriede Gerstl has just collected again.

At midnight, two elves help a pair of shoemakers in distress by making shoes. They make it a condition that they are not watched. When the cobblers do it anyway and then send them the matching clothes, they stop working but continue to help the cobblers.

Dougal and the Blue Cat

A blue cat named Buxton is found in the Magic Garden. With help from the Blue voice (played by Fenella Fielding), Buxton enters the ruins of the old treacle factory where he is crowned king after correctly identifying the colours of seven doors (coloured different shades of blue). Buxton throws all the characters of The Magic Roundabout except Dougal into prison and steals Zebedee's magic moustache.
