Joe Zawinul & WDR Big Band - Leverkusener Jazztage

Zawinul is onstage with the WDR Big Band from Germany and a special international rhythm section. The music is a tribute to the pioneering 1970s fusion collective Weather Report, originally with Wayne Shorter on sax, Zawinul on keys, and later Jaco Pastorius on bass (among other personnel). Zawinul and the WDR play "Brown Street" and "Carnavalito." Arranger Vince Mendoza re-imagines this colorful, small-group music for Europe's longest-lived jazz orchestra. And they can play!

The Final Countdown 30th Anniversary Show - Live at the Roundhouse celebrates the multi-platinum album's triple decade success. The band played the album in its sequential entirety at a series of selected cities in 2016, with London's most historically venerated venue playing host to an exceptionally special night on November 12th 2016, which was captured by Patric Ullaeus from rEvolver Film Company AB. Preceding the landmark event, fans were also treated to a live performance of Europe's latest album War of Kings, a release which re-established Europe as one of the top classic rock bands in the world.

Recorded at the HMV Ritz, Manchester in December 2011, this DVD captures the power, intensity and experimental textures of Gary Numan's recent critically-acclaimed Dead Son Rising album. The stage is often blitzed with light - strobes being used like weapons for the set's biggest anthems. At other times, everything fades, almost to blackout, with the viewer sucked into the darkness for a few moments before the heavy light-assault explodes into life again. Then cut to the images on the screen as each track is illustrated with slogans, graphics and burnt-out, degraded films. Dead Son Rising was a very special tour and Big Noise Transmission is a fantastic document of one of the artist's finest shows.
