He goes to the studio and after being shown through the plant he finds his daughter and reconciliation takes place. Besides being an interesting drama, the picture shows in detail the entire plant of the Vitagraph Company.

Martin and Sally Cramer grew up on the hardscrabble Lower East Side, where Sally still teaches; meanwhile, Martin's the head of a fancy private school. Romantic dalliances with others convince them that they're meant to be together despite their differences, a decision that's cemented, oddly enough, by an over-the-top argument that draws the police.

A young girl, Lolita, runs away from home. After many adventures, she meets Marco, the son of a government official. Meanwhile, Karpov, vice-minister of the Soviet Union, arrives in Rome. In concluding a trade agreement, he is about to be the victim of a colossal scam. Lolita, despite her modest intelligence, discovers the shady affair, all in favor of Marco, something which opens up horizons of lucrative activity. While Karpov leaves Rome, Lolita starts wandering again, venturing further into her many occasional "friendships".
