The Last Cape Horners

The Last Cape Horners - The End of the Great Sailing Ship Era Gustaf Erikson of Finland owned the last great fleet of sailing ships the world would ever see. He employed them in the last trade left to the sailing ship, the carriage of grain from Australia to Europe by way of treacherous Cape Horn. Now old men, the last of the true Cape Horners tell of the dreadful conditions in which they lived and worked while sailing the great souther ocean towards the Horn. The film is illustrated with amazing archival footage shot on board three of these vessels in the last days of sail.

The one-off documentary tells the story of two women travelling by bike across the United States, from Canada to Mexico along the Great Divide. An epic journey that led them to travel 4,000 km and climb 60,000 meters and that, day after day, forced them to face their own limits, their strength and fragilities, and tested their relationship. Because every journey is always a love story.

Vertical Sailing Greenland

A "team of savages," as their boat captain Bob Shepton calls them, comprised of Sean Villanueva O'Driscoll, Olivier Favresse, Nicolas Favresse, and Ben Ditto, set off for Greenland to attempt a first big wall climb. Arriving in Asia by plane, they prepare the sailboat for two months of self-sufficiency. Accompanied by whales, seagulls, and icebergs, they train on various rock faces before beginning their ascent of the seemingly impossible wall. It takes them 11 days to complete the climb, braving bad weather, the rock itself, the wilderness, and three different bivouac sites—all accompanied by music, of course! The return journey is not without its challenges, as they must avoid a cyclone and cross the Atlantic to reach Oben in Scotland.
