Building for Books

Though commissioned by Trinity College Dublin as a fundraiser for the Berkeley Library and with extensive discussion of the history, architecture and collections of the Old Library, this film also provides a rare insight into student life in Dublin in the 1950s – at work and at play – and lauds the arrival of women and students from many lands.

REEXISTIR

A documentary web-series that presents experiences and resistance in the fight stories of the LGBT community. These stories are told in order to generate more empathy and compassion among people inside and outside the community, and especially, to bring a message of hope, strength, and resilience to all LGBTs, encouraging us to keep our heads up and continue to resist.

BARE BONES

BARE BONES is an experimental short film written, directed and scored by DEBBY FRIDAY. Conceived during the Covid-19 lockdown and shot in Vancouver, BC on 16mm, the film tells the story of a young woman who swallows a bee and begins to undergo a hallucinatory and transformative experience. Abstract visual sequences depict time and space fracturing around her as she succumbs to wave after wave of pure feeling.
