A crook disguises a cat as a skunk to scare people out of a bank. Soon after, great lover Pepé Le Pew sees her and the chase is on through the French Alps.
Pepe Le Pew, the eternally amorous skunk, is in Paris, where his stench sends a female cat upward to hit a freshly painted flagpole, which puts a white stripe on her back and causes Pepe to think she also is a skunk. He lustfully pursues her into the Louvre art gallery.
Perhaps because he's grown weary of chasing Jerry, Tom sets his sights on the house's goldfish. But the female goldfish is a friend of Jerry's, and the little mouse has a crush on her. When Jerry gets involved to rescue his friend, the usual confrontations with Tom begin.
Tom is chasing Jerry through the back yard. Jerry escapes to a bird house. A bit more chasing. Jerry crashes into the wall. Both decide they've had enough, and wave the truce flag; they go to the movies of themselves, which is an excuse for another bargain clip show. The truce doesn't hold, and eventually the characters on screen stop and take notice.
