The full film appears to be lost, but shortened versions, including one with dialogue scenes added in Germany in 1935, can be found on the internet. Additionally, Eisenstein's role in making the picture remains unclear: did he direct some or all of it, just edit it, or merely leave it to Alexandrov and Tisse to make? Released in the USA 1930 in a 65 minute (5800 ft.) version with English intertitles and a music track under the title BIRTH.

A young woman from high society decides to raffle herself to raise money to complete the construction of a hospital, a social project she has dedicated herself to. She takes a nude photograph, orders several copies made, which are numbered and sold. The plan was initially intended to be limited to those close to her, and various measures were taken to ensure the photograph would not be seen by a limited circle. However, these measures prove unsatisfactory, and soon the raffle goes beyond the limits controlled by its promoter. The event becomes the talk of the town, and the raffle photos are sold and voraciously purchased everywhere on the streets, in universities, offices, and stores.

Fractured

Driving cross-country, Ray and his wife and daughter stop at a highway rest area where his daughter falls and breaks her arm. A depiction of the Wrangelkiez neighbourhood in Berlin. The people portrayed tell their life stories. One woman came to the neighbourhood a decade ago to work in Berlin’s still unfinished Brandenburger Airport, one man reminisces his childhood on a Tobacco farm in Kentucky, another speaks of an exceptional day in an otherwise monotonous workplace. These portraits are interwoven with the story of Elpi, a Greek woman who is waiting for the long overdue visit of an old important friend. The outcome of this mixture is a film which captures the lives and perspectives of some of Wrangelkiez’s most commanding citizens, while at the same time evoking the loss that change and time passing means for places and for people.

.hack//G.U. Returner

The characters receive an email from Ovan requesting them to go to Δ Hidden Forbidden Festival where a mysterious summer festival is set up. There they encounter an AIDA Chim Chim who wishes to peacefully co-exist with the players of The World. It then transforms into the word "Returner", which Haseo assumes it to mean that Ovan will return to The World.
