Northwest Mounted Policeman faces many obstacles in attempting to apprehend a murderer. He miraculously escapes ambush and learns of the dying murderer's name. After a thrilling fight he secures a confession from his man and saves the girl from disaster.
Sergeant O'Malley of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police gets himself into a gang of outlaws in order to detect and capture a wanted murderer. He finds the killer, but falls in love with the man's sister. In the meantime, one of the outlaws uncovers O'Malley's true identity.
Western star Charles Starrett makes one of his periodic forays into the Great White North in Columbia's Royal Mounted Patrol. When villainous lumberman Frenchy Duvalle refuses to limit his wood-chopping activities, he inadvertently touches off a forest fire. Trapped in the middle of the conflagration, Frenchy's only hope for rescue is mountie Tom Jeffries, presently scouring the countryside in his scout plane. Jeffries' reasons for bringing Frenchy out safely are twofold: he must deliver the renegade lumberjack to the authorities, and he happens to be in love with Frenchy's sister Betty.

In the cast are some of the company's best players: Alec Francis, Julia Stuart, Barbara Tennant, Will Sherer, O.A.C. Lund, Hector Dion, and others. The story is of a family feud between two families, the heads of which quarrel over a boundary line. The main scenes are laid about large mansions, but there are others in an atmosphere of the Northwest, in primitive surroundings. "The Beaten Path" is a real feature."
Assigned to catch a gang of outlaws, officers Bruce Kenton and Paddy Halloran rescue Helen Morgan when her wagon is attacked by the very same gang.
