Penelope's Condition

A reinterpretation of the Greek legend of Penelope, ”the most faithful of wives”, who waited 20 years for her husband Odysseus to return from The Trojan War. In this animation, the two of them are presented in a more modern setting. While Odysseus is busy exploring the universe in his space rocket, Penelope is stuck at home, taking care of the children, showing how traditional gender roles say men should work, while women stay at home.

Smitty and Gary met while Gary and Charlotte were an item. They are forever bonded together by their shared celebration of hatred for Charlotte. After a First Class, welcoming tour of the prison via Smitty, and a run-in with Emmett O'Donald, from upper Prison Management, Gary realizes his original sentence of 30 days was all Bulls@!t. He may never get out.

COOL GUY

Cool Guy (Brayden Thompson) spends his free time crafting and perfecting his mixtapes - even though its 2023 and barely anyone uses tapes anymore, but Cool Guy claims to be an “old soul.” When his mixtapes are perfected, he likes to test them out by getting down and having a dance party. In the film, the two artists negotiate Fanon’s ideas, examining the politics of race, racism and the post-colonial, and how these societal issues affect their relationship.
