A show about how life literally split into “before” and “after”. This is a special from London, directed by Ilya Naishuller. Spoiler - there's no shooting or first-person shots, don't get your hopes up... My first full-length standup special recorded outside of Russia.
The first solo stand-up special of Russian comedian Sergey Orlov. He had been preparing this concert for a whole year, running it all over the country, twice a night he performed with this at the Cinema House in Moscow, and for the next 7 months it edited, re-edited, laid back and finally got out!
The third solo concert by Sergey Orlov, recorded in November 2021.
Concert of the famous comedian Pavel Volya. In his monologue, the Comedy Club resident discusses the topic of predictions about the end of the world and shares his opinion on what russian people need to be happy.
Pavel Volya's big solo concert, in which he talks about his beloved wife, the wedding that took place, and his son Robert.
Pavel Volya's big solo concert in the capital's Crocus City Hall.
Solo performance of one of the most musical stand-up comedians Ivan Abramov.
That legendary performance from the Ice Palace that changed my life forever. A huge stadium where I said things that no one dared to say so openly to such a large audience in Russia at the time. I dedicated the performance and the ending with the “last cigarette“ to my grandfather, who passed away that year. This special was filmed by Edgar Dubrovsky, who later went on to direct the hit Netflix documentary “The Tinder Swindler“.
In November 2018, Lesha Kvashonkin traveled with a one-hour program on a short tour. This solo concert was recorded at the last two concerts at the HopHead bar in St. Petersburg.
Orlov's second stand-up special, recorded in October 2020.
One of the most important shows for me, filmed over 3 consecutive days in St. Petersburg on a round stage. During the “SPECIAL for KIDS“ tour, I had this strange feeling that it would be my last tour. Who knew back then that my intuition was hinting specifically at tours in Russia.
First solo concert of stand up comedian Ruslan Belyy.
Big New Year's Stand Up of Pavel Volya. In his monologue, he discusses the problem of fathers and children, the promotion of homosexuality, sanctions, and also shares his opinion on the ban on smoking in public places.
The second concert of Alexey Kvashonkin. Moscow, December 2019.
Dima Koval's first solo stand-up concert.
The concert of Alexander Dolgopolov, shot in March 2020 in Kyiv. An hour and a half of jokes about traveling around Europe, relationships, guests and putin.
Stand-up concert by Yulia Akhmedova.
This is part of the program that Poperechny presents in St. Petersburg as part of tour with Ruslan Usachev. The video is made up of different pieces and some moments were not included in it (for example, the beginning of the stand-up, its middle and jokes).
Garik Martirosyan speaks with his large stand-up program, in which he will talk about his friends comedians, about modern trends, about Vatsap users. About how he posted the poster of his concert on Instagram and why it is compared with Petrosyan. Why is he not joking on the topic of Russian rap. How he writes his famous friends in a notebook and much more.
More than 8 years later and pretty much all I remember from this show are the dancing nuns and the story about tape on my ass. The name came from two things: 1) it referenced the word I'd often say at confession so I'd have something to ask God's forgiveness for; 2) we thought it was hilarious to film promos and read reviews from people who went to a standup show with that name.
