Synopsis

In the early years of the Western Han Dynasty, a devastating fire destroys the imperial silk destined as tribute to the Xiongnu—a catastrophe that reignites turmoil across the Western Regions. Jiang Yu, an elite emissary of the court, is dispatched under secret decree to investigate the arson and avert a crisis on the frontier. Meanwhile, his beloved Cannu, a silk-weaver turned folk hero, rallies the people of Shiquan to replenish the lost tribute and save the empire from disgrace. As Jiang Yu ventures alone into the treacherous Western Regions, he must confront an impossible choice: loyalty to the Han Dynasty’s fate… or the whispers of his heart
