Donny & Marie

Donny & Marie is an American variety show which aired on ABC from January 1976 to January 1979. The show stars brother and sister pop duo Donny Osmond and Marie Osmond. Donny had first become popular singing in a music group with his brothers, The Osmonds, and Marie was one of the youngest singers to reach #1 on the Billboard Country Music charts. The siblings were offered a weekly show by ABC-TV President Fred Silverman after he saw the duo co-host a week on The Mike Douglas Show which followed their series of popular remakes of oldies, such as "I'm Leaving It Up To You", "Morning Side Of The Mountain", "Deep Purple" and "Make The World Go Away". Donny and Marie were the youngest entertainers in TV history to host their own variety show. A year later, The Keane Brothers would break this record.

Bled Music

"Bled Music" is an Algerian musical television program broadcast on ENTV between 1991 and 1992. directed by Aziz Smati and presented by Kamel Dynamite, Farid Rockeur and Samia Benkherroubi. The show, with its irreverent tone, was very popular and had a significant impact on the Algerian music scene, allowing the emergence of many artists including Chaba Fadela, Cheb Sahraoui, Cheb Anouar and Mohamed Lamine. A ranking of music videos by popularity and relied on fans sending their votes by mail. At the end of the 1980s, unrest broke out in Algeria which led the country into a Black Decade. At this time, fundamentalist groups attempted to ban music and most other forms of artistic expression. The show continued to air despite death threats, but on February 14, 1994, Aziz Smati was shot in both legs by a young extremist, which ultimately led to the end of the show .

The Chart Show

The Chart Show is a music video programme which ran in the United Kingdom on Channel 4 between 1986 and 1988, then on ITV between 1989 and 1998. The production company was Video Visuals, and was credited as "A Yorkshire Television Presentation" from 1993 and 1998. The show has lived on through a Channel 4 revival in 2003 and a more recent revival on the digital music channel Chart Show TV, which ran sporadically from 2008 and 2009.

Previously the show was hosted by Bud Tingwell and narrated by David Reyne. The format mixes archival footage of the listed events with comments from various Australian celebrities.

Friday Night Videos is an American music video show broadcast on the NBC television network from July 29, 1983 to May 24, 2002, and was the network's attempt to capitalize on the emerging popularity of music videos as seen on MTV. Belinda Carlisle was the guest host for the first episode.

There She Is!!

There She Is!! is a Flash cartoon series produced by a three-person team and hosted on the Korean website SamBakZa. The cartoons became particularly popular during the spring of 2004 when they were exposed to American and European audiences. The series is noted for its classic manhwa style elements and its high-quality animation. The first There she is!! generated a large amount of positive feedback from its online audience, including fan art, which drove SamBakZa to produce more cartoons in the series. The plot of the series is the romance between an anthropomorphic bunny and cat, in a world where such relationships are taboo. At the 2004 Anima Mundi animation festival in Brazil, this video won first place in both the Web Animation - Professional Jury and Web Animation - Audience divisions, as well as winning the Special Award Anima Mundi Web. Distribution rights to the series are licensed to Gyeonggi Digital Contents Agency. SamBakZa have moved to the Production Support Center located in Gyeonggi-do Bucheon-si. SamBakZa have also stated they may be setting up a registration system in the future on their main page, and will send emails to members when new episodes are released to the public.

Pop-Up Video

Pop Up Video is a VH1 television show that "pops up" bubbles — officially called "info nuggets" — containing trivia, witticisms and borderline sexual innuendos throughout music videos. The show was created by Woody Thompson and Tad Low and premiered October 27, 1996. For a time, it was the highest-rated program on VH1, though Behind the Music overtook it by 1998. It was originally produced by Spin the Bottle Inc. and later Eyeboogie Inc. during its original run. In October 2011, Pop Up Video was revived by VH1, featuring new videos with new trivia and commentary. The revived production was continued by Eyeboogie Inc.

TRL UK

TRL UK was a British version of the popular American Total Request Live which first aired in the states in 1998, however it was not brought to the United Kingdom until the last quarter of 2003. It was broadcast weekdays at 4.30pm originally in 2003, however the time slot was changed as it ran in to its second season it was then broadcast at 6.00pm in 2005. The show's main presenter was Dave Berry who was joined by another of MTV's guest presenters each day. The show follows the format of the original Total Request Live it shows a Top 10 Countdown with Musical Guests and Actors and Actresses. It was broadcast from London's Leicester Square from the UK's capital and the presenters would stand in front of glass windows facing down onto the street to the audience just like the U.S. version.

Los 10+ Pedidos

Los 10+ Pedidos is a television show broadcast on MTV in Latin America. It has the same concept as the U.S. MTV show Total Request Live in that it airs the ten most requested videos, and between the voted videos it shows other videos. It is believed to be one of the shows on MTVla with the highest ratings. Originally it was broadcast in an hour, then at the end of 2005 it was extended to ninety minutes, now it lasts one hour again. Most of the shows has VJs, the most recognized of which were Carmen Arce and Gabo in México and Cecilia Peckaitis and Gerónimo Santángello in Argentina. The physical presentation of the show, which includes images, animations and sounds, has changed on repeated occasions. During a short period of time — August to November 2005 — some of the most requested videos were not transmitted completely; instead, short clips were aired so more videos could be shown. In 2009, the show had a brief replacement called Tu Top which debuted the Monday following the rerun of 2008's Los 100+, the show suffered a mejor revamp during its absence and now there is only one 10+ for Latin America, with Gabo and Mecha hosting, the revamped show premiered April 20, 2009.

American Bandstand

American Bandstand was an American music-performance show that aired in various versions from 1952 to 1989 and was hosted from 1956 until its final season by Dick Clark, who also served as producer. The show featured teenagers dancing to Top 40 music introduced by Clark; at least one popular musical act—over the decades, running the gamut from Jerry Lee Lewis to Run DMC—would usually appear in person to lip-sync one of their latest singles. Freddy "Boom Boom" Cannon holds the record for most appearances at 110. The show's popularity helped Dick Clark become an American media mogul and inspired similar long-running music programs, such as Soul Train and Top of the Pops. Clark eventually assumed ownership of the program through his Dick Clark Productions company.

FNMTV

FNMTV is a music video program on MTV focused on premiering new music videos and airing viewers' instantaneous feedback from its website. F N was branded to stand for "Friday Night" to signify when the premiere block airs. The Friday night premiere block, FNMTV Premieres, taped at Ren-Mar Studios in Hollywood, was hosted by Pete Wentz and aired in encore for the remainder of the week. Music video blocks with viewer feedback and artist commentary aired weekdays 8 to 11:00 AM ET/PT and Tuesday through Friday at 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM ET/PT on MTV. A new early morning block of the same name was introduced alongside FNMTV. It consisted of abbreviated clips of music videos, approximately 60 seconds each. MTV confirmed that a new season would air December 5, 2008 following the ending of TRL. Some saw the show as a successor to or replacement for the obsolete TRL. But the new "season" only consisted of one holiday themed episode. An unrelated Spring Break 90 minute special of the same name aired Friday, March 27, 2009. The early morning block ended in January 2009, leaving the channel virtually devoid of music related programming for more than 2 months, until the introduction of AMTV.

The hour-long show premiered on March 2, 2009, and is hosted by actor, comedian and performer Jimmy Fallon, an alumnus of Saturday Night Live. The third incarnation of the Late Night franchise originated by David Letterman, the program originates from NBC Studio 6B in the GE Building at 30 Rockefeller Center in New York City. The show typically opens with a brief monologue from Fallon, followed by a comedy "desk piece," as well as prerecorded segments and audience competitions. The next segment is devoted to a celebrity interview, with guests ranging from actors and musicians to media personalities and political figures. The show then closes with either a musical or comedy performance. The show frequently employs digital media into its comedy, which has become crucial to its success.
