Brave Eagle

Brave Eagle is a 26-episode half-hour western television series which aired on CBS from September 28, 1955, to March 14, 1956, with rebroadcasts continuing until June 6. Keith Larsen, who was of Norwegian descent, starred as Brave Eagle, a peaceful young Cheyenne chief. The program was unconventional in that it ⁕ reflects the Native American viewpoint in the settlement of the American West and ⁕ was the first series to feature an American Indian as a lead character. Larsen's co-stars were Kim Winona, a Sioux Indian, as Morning Star, Brave Eagle's romantic interest; Anthony Numkena of Arizona, a Hopi Indian then using the stage name Keena Nomkeena, appeared as Keena, the adopted son of Brave Eagle; Pat Hogan as Black Cloud, and Bert Wheeler of the comedy team Wheeler & Woolsey, as the halfbreed Smokey Joe, full of tribal tall tales but accompanying wisdom. The episodes center upon routine activities among the Cheyenne, clashes with other tribes, attempts to prevent war, encroachment from white settlers, racial prejudice, and a threat of smallpox.

Law of the Plainsman

Law of the Plainsman is a Western television series starring Michael Ansara that aired on the NBC television network from October 1, 1959, until May 5, 1960. The character of Native American U.S. Marshal Sam Buckhart was introduced in two episodes of the popular ABC Western television series The Rifleman starring Chuck Connors as Lucas McCain. Law of the Plainsman is distinctive and unique in that it was one of the few television programs that featured a Native American as the lead character, a bold move for U.S.network television at that time. Ansara had earlier appeared in the series Broken Arrow, having portrayed the Apache chief, Cochise. Ansara, however, was not Native American but of Syrian descent. Ansara played Sam Buckhart, an Apache Indian who saved the life of a U.S. Cavalry officer after an Indian ambush. When the officer died, he left Sam money that was used for an education at private schools and Harvard University. After school, he returned to New Mexico where he became a Deputy Marshal working for Marshal Andy Morrison. He lived in a boarding house run by Martha Commager. The only other continuing character was 8-year old Tess Logan, an orphan who had been rescued by Buckhart. Robert Harland, later of Target: The Corruptors! starred in seven episodes as Deputy Billy Lordan. Wayne Rogers, who went on to star in another Four Star western, Stagecoach West, and later, M*A*S*H, also played deputy Lordan in several episodes.

The Mystic Warrior

The Mystic Warrior is a 1984 TV movie about a band of Native American Sioux and the efforts of one man to save his people from destruction through the use of mysterious powers handed down by ancestors. The movie was originally a nine hour mini-series entitled Hanta Yo to be aired in 1980, instead aired in 1984 as a five hour mini series with the new name. The movie was never released on VHS or DVD although it has been shown on cable TV. Mystic Warrior was entertaining, but failed to draw viewers away from such formidable competition as The Jeffersons, Alice, and One Day at a Time.

The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin

The Adventures of Rin Tin Tin is an American children's television program. Beginning in October 1954 until May 1959, 166 episodes originally aired on ABC television network. It starred child actor Lee Aaker as Rusty, a boy orphaned in an Indian raid, who was being raised by the soldiers at a US Cavalry post known as Fort Apache. He and his German shepherd dog, Rin Tin Tin, helped the soldiers to establish order in the American West. Texas-born actor James Brown appeared as Lieutenant Ripley "Rip" Masters. Co-stars included veteran actor Joe Sawyer and actor Rand Brooks from Gone with the Wind fame.

The New Archies

The New Archies is a children's television cartoon, based upon the long-running Archie comic books and characters. The series, produced by DIC Entertainment and originally airing on NBC, re-imagined Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Jughead Jones, Reggie Mantle, and the other teenage students of Riverdale High School as pre-teens in junior high. Thirteen episodes of the show were produced, which all aired during the show's first and only season in 1987 and were repeated in 1989. I'm with Stupid

I'm with Stupid is a British television programme starring Paul Henshall and Mark Benton. The series was created by BBC Comedy North. Peter Keeley was series consultant and it was written by Danny Peak. The original pilot episode aired on BBC Three in March 2005. The main character, Paul, portrayed by disabled actor Paul Henshall, has cerebral palsy and Mark Benton's character, Sheldon, is a homeless man who Paul takes in to Bramble Lodge and offers him a place to stay. Bramble Lodge is a home for disabled people governed by Jean. The cast also includes Alan Martin as Graham, Kevin Davids as Syd, Cherylee Houston as Dorothy and Steve Edge as Sergeant Swithenback. The series aired from 10 September to 15 October 2006 on BBC Three.

Arrogant Flames

Twenty years back, Pipat fell in love with Pongpaew, a poor woman who Khun Ying Tongtraa despised. Pipat was given two choices: stay with his mother or leave the house and go with Pongpaew. He chose option number two and lived a peaceful life in Ranong with his family. For twenty years, Plerng’s parents hid the truth from him. However, one day, Khun Ying Tongtraa fell ill and ended up in the hospital requiring immediate heart transplant. The news spreaded throughout Thailand and reaches Pipat. Pipat finally decides to tell his son the truth and the family travels to Bangkok to visit Khun Ying Tongtraa in the hospital and apologize for his actions twenty years before. On the way, they get into a wreck and Plerng’s father dies on the scene. Plerng and his mother, Pongpaew ended up in the same hospital as Khun Ying Tongtraa. When Plerng was conscious, he learned that his father had passed away and his grandmother was at the same hospital. The doctor tells Plerng that his father is brain dead and will never wake up.Plerng didn’t want to see his father in that horrible situation so he decides to let his father go and donate his father’s heart to his grandmother. He made the decision alone because his mother was still in a coma. While at the hospital, Plerng meets his aunt Bussakon and uncle Niruj. His aunt Bussakon has two children: Anat and Naree. His uncle Niruj has a son named Chanon. Uncle Niruj and Chanon accepts the truth that Plerng is their relative but aunt Bussakon and her children do not like Plerng. They are jealous of Plerng and fear that one day, Plerng will come into the family and take over everything. For that reason, aunt Bussakon tricks Plerng and Niruj to hide the truth from Khun Ying Tongtraa about the heart transplant. When Plerng’s mother is finally conscious, she learns that her husband has passed away. Plerng also tells his mother about the heart transplant but his mother does not blame him. Since Plerng promised to hide the truth about his father’s heart, Plerng and his mother decides to leave the hospital without seeing Khun Ying Tongtraa. However, fate leads them to meet and before he knows it, Plerng finds himself living and working with his family under stressful conditions. When Khun Ying Tongtraa learns that her son is dead, she is very sad and blames Pongpaew for taking her son away forever. Plerng and his mother want to apologize to his grandmother but his grandmother would not listen. She refuses to forgive Pipat and Pongpaew. But, Plerng does not give up. Khun Ying Tongtraa uses his chance to allow Plerng to prove himself. Plerng’s father has 20% of the shares in Phet Thai. Unless Plerng can make the profits higher than his father’s shares within three months, his grandmother will not accept the apologies. So Plerng takes over his father’s position and bring up the sales in Phet Thai. With the help of the two sisters, Namfon and Sitha, and their mother, Khun Manmart; Plerng is only a few steps away from achieving his goal. As they spend a lot of time working with each other, Plerng gradually falls for Namfon while Namfon’s older sister, Sitha falls for Plerng. Chanon, on the other hand has a crush on Sitha. When he learns that Sitha loves Plerng, he respects her decision and tries to hold his feelings back. Will Chanon end up with Sitha?
