Twilight of a Nation

Twilight of a Nation is a Hong Kong television series based on the events of the Taiping Rebellion and the rise and fall of the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom during the late Qing Dynasty. The 45 episodes long series was produced by Siu Sang and was first aired on TVB Jade in Hong Kong in November 1988. It was broadcast again on TVB in 1996. The theme songs and insert songs in the series were performed by Roman Tam.

Come Home Love: Lo and Behold

Hung Sue Gan starting from the bottom, established his own logistics company, which is now running smoothly. His only concern now are his three daughters. His eldest daughter has immigrated overseas. His second daughter Hung Yeuk Shui has reached the marriageable age, but has no hopes for marriage anytime soon. She is constantly bickering with her younger sister Hung Sum Yue, who is an honour student, over trivial matters, causing their father to not know whether to laugh or cry. Hung Sue Yan, Hung Sue Gan's brother, moves in with the family, temporarily ending his life as a nomadic photographer. Since Hung Sue Yan moved in, a series of strange events have occurred in the family. Upon investigation, the source is traced to Lung Ging Fung, a promising young man who is the son of department store mogul Lung Gam Wai.

The legendary tale between a Qing Dynasty emperor and his imperial consort. Dong Xiao Wan is a beautiful singer from Jiangnan who captures the heart of the Emperor. Their relationship is not accepted as it is forbidden for a woman of Han descent to become the Qing Emperor's wife. The Empress Dowager Xiao Zhuang becomes their fiercest roadblock along with sinister forces looking to take advantage of the situation, yet the couple's unyielding devotion towards each other never wanes nor wavers.

A Chip Off the Old Block

A Chip Off the Old Block is a 2009 TVB television drama from Hong Kong produced and created by Poon Ka Tak. The original broadcast was on the TVB Jade with approximately 45-minute long episodes airing five days a week. The final two episodes were an hour and a half long each, which aired during the weekends. A Chip Off the Old Block tells the story of the articulate businessman Chor Chi, who accidentally travels back in time to the 1960s and meets his younger father, Chor Fan.

HEI TAP LAP SEUK LAN (WANG MING CHUN, LIZA) was born into royalty. Being a princess, she has had the privilege of being tyrannical and unreasonable for more than 40 years. He keeps his prowess a secret for an important mission.

The sitcom is about office politics in a magazine company, as well as family and romantic relationships amongst the characters, with the majority of the cast from Best Selling Secrets.

The Stew of Life

Upon returning from a trip with her husband NG MAN TAK (Chung King Fai), cookery teacher LO SIU LAI (Lee Sze Kei, Louise) is shocked to find that her little daughter NG CHOI NI (Chen Fala) has started cohabiting with a homosexually inclined colleague LAU TAT YAN (Hung Tin Ming) while her divorced sister LO SIU MEI (Ng Wing Mei) is seemingly caught up in a love triangle between tenant YAU KAI (Mak Cheung Ching) and her ex-husband. By and by TAK is forced to retire early and stays at home all day with nothing to do. LAI, on the other hand, is lucky enough to have the opportunity to host a culinary show on TV. Everything seems to have happened too fast but this does not leave LAI frustrated and accursed. Instead she tries to get round every problem with even more patience and dedication, which however is not appreciated by TAK. The bickering continues until LAI eventually thinks of a good way to tackle TAK…

In the late Qing Dynasty of ancient China, the city of Tianjin was also influenced by the Restoration of 1898. The Great Qing Dynasty declined. Tang Qing Shan was also influenced by the new thoughts; however, he had been doing a booming business and engaged with Shi Pei Zhen, who was a gifted girl. She had dressed up as a boy and sworn to be brothers with Tang Qing Shan and his best friend, Fei Yong Jia. Noblesse Oblige

Nuns-to-be Wai Lam and Wai Yu are desperate to find money to treat the head nun's illness. The story revolves around the Wui Yau Safeguard Agency, which is the most prominent safeguard and escort agency in Hangzhou. However, the agency was discovered to be close to bankruptcy, due to financial mismanagement. Together with his four sons, the patriarch of the family, Sheung Ching-Tong (Samuel Kwok) must, along with other allies and confidantes, rebuild the agency and save it from near certain death.

The Seasons

The Seasons was a 389 episode drama series that was shown during Enjoy Yourself Tonight on Hong Kong TV station TVB from 1987 to 1988. The show, being a section of the main program, Enjoy Yourself Tonight, meant that it was only 15 minutes long, a rarity in Hong Kong television drama programs. Another rarity is that each episode ends in the same shot: a flower being tossed into the water.
