Degrassi High

Degrassi High is the third television show in the Degrassi series of teen dramas about the lives of a group of teenagers living on or near De Grassi Street in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It first aired from 1989 to 1991 and followed the young people from The Kids of Degrassi Street and Degrassi Junior High through high school. The show was filmed in downtown Toronto and at Centennial College. Much like its predecessor, Degrassi High dealt with controversial issues ranging from AIDS, abortion, abuse, alcoholism, cheating, sex, death and suicide, dating, depression, bullying, gay rights, homophobia, racism, the environment, drugs, and eating disorders. The show's impact on Canadian identity is discussed in the September 2007 issue of u're Magazine.

Swayamvar

Swayamvar is a reality television show, where the contestants perform tasks and woe the hopeful bride/groom in return for their hand in marriage. It started airing in India with the Swayamvar Season 1 in 2009 and followed that with Swayamvar Season 2. In February 2011, Imagine TV announced the launch of the Swayamvar Season 3. The Swayamvar Season 3 started airing on Imagine TV from May 30, 2011. The winner of Ratan Ka Rishta will get the bride/groom of the season's hand in marriage. The new series sees a new host and a new location for the show. The new host is television actor, Hiten Tejwani, while the new location for the TV show is Shiv Vilas Palace in Jaipur.

Free for All is a 2003 animated series that aired on Showtime. The series was created by Brett Merhar. It followed the day-to-day life of Johnny Jenkins, an innocent 19-year-old college kid who has to deal with a bitter, cigarette smoking grandmother and a coarse, sometimes-violent, alcoholic father, in a rather dysfunctional family. Also, he lives next door to Paula, the love of his life and the attractive girl next door. Clay Zeeman is his somewhat abusive so called "best friend" who won millions of U.S. dollars after he faked an accident at a taco restaurant. He has a drug-addicted ferret for a pet, and he's named Angus. Omar is his warm Indian friend, who is just as innocent as Johnny himself is. He may be even stupider on some level. The show was developed for television by Merriwether Williams, the head writer for seasons 1-4 of Spongebob Squarepants. WIlliams was also the show runner and head writer. There were seven episodes that aired over the summer of 2003, the last ending on a cliff-hanger. However, despite favorable reviews from critics, the show had very low ratings, mainly due to poor promotion and the fact that the original source material was not a huge success in the first place. Showtime cancelled the animated skein shortly after the last episode aired. The show has since fallen into extreme obscurity. No DVD/VHS/Laser Disc release has been announced yet. New York Goes to Hollywood is a reality VH1 series that consists of eight, 30-minute-episodes. New York Goes to Hollywood premiered on August 4, 2008. This spin-off of the I Love New York series, features Tiffany "New York" Pollard as she tries to find an acting job in Hollywood, California. In order to be an "established actress," Tiffany Pollard has to put her life aside to achieve her Hollywood goal by leaving her mother, Michelle Patterson, and George "Tailor Made" Weisgerber. The show is available on iTunes & the first episode was made available free for a limited time. A follow-up/spin-off season, entitled New York Goes to Work, premiered May 4, 2009.

DMX: Soul of a Man

DMX: Soul of a Man was a reality television series that recorded the daily life of African American rapper DMX, primarily aired on Black Entertainment Television. The show included various aspects of his personal and religious life. The theme song Lord Give Me A Sign is a single from his album "Year of the Dog...Again". The show featured DMX, Tashera Simmons,, Ali Samii, Jack Hudgins, Randy Acker, Swizz Beatz and his unexpected cowboy friend and neighbor Buddy Wood.
