In 1987, Murray was fortunate to front his own television program, The Urban Monkey, which unfortunately was lost, and then rediscovered recently in a garage in suburban Melbourne.

ABC created the show as a vehicle for Sivad after seeing his routine on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson.

It was later cancelled in April, as confirmed by Boardman via Twitter. Although the series scored decent ratings averaging over 3 million a week.
