B:MY BOYZ aims to create a new global boy group. The show will feature 30 talents selected from Korea, Japan, China, Thailand, and beyond, with the goal to debut as the next generation idols. The participants will compete against each other in various fields including vocals, performance, and producing, with the current top idol seniors selecting the next idols.
Boys II Planet is a survival show broadcasted on Mnet. It is a sequel to Girls Planet 999 and Boys Planet. Planet K premiered on July 17 while Planet C started airing on July 18, 2025. Boys II Planet is based on the themes and aesthetics of space. It consists of two programs, K and C, produced in Korean and Chinese respectively, with both programs following the same format for each contest. The show will create a twin group project, with both groups debuting at the same time. The final line-up will work in two different groups, K and C, and will also work as a complete group.
BOYS24 is a 2016 reality boy group unit survival show. It is a large-scale project in which the units of a selected number of members will be produced from a pool of 49 free-agents. 28 trainees, instead of the planned 24, were selected as Boys24 members and were divided into four sub-units who held concerts three to five days a week in rotation for a year. After the 1st Semi-Final, Unit Black debuted as a promotional unit for three months. The final eight winners debuted together on October 26, 2017 as IN2IT.
The Debut: Dream Academy is a talent competition reality show created as an international collaboration between record labels Hybe and Geffen Records aimed at creating a global girl group. The fan-interactive project involves 20 female candidates from around the world competing in three "missions" to test their artistry. Eliminations occur after each mission, leaving 10 contestants to compete in the finale, during which the final group's members will be decided.

Produce 101 (프로듀스 101) is a reality music group survival show on Mnet. It is a large-scale project in which the public "produces" a unit group by choosing members from a pool of 101 trainees from 46 entertainment companies as well as the group's concept, debut song, and group name.
In December 2015, Cube Entertainment announced that they were preparing to debut a boy group in mid-2016, 4 years after BtoB's debut. On April 26, 2016, Cube revealed its new boy group, Pentagon, with the group trailer "Come into the World." The final lineup of Pentagon was decided through Mnet's reality program, Pentagon Maker. Pentagon Maker aired online through Mnet's digital content brand, M2, and showcased the members challenging five aspects: Performance, Dance, Teamwork, Talent and Mind.
Idols who failed to impress the audience after their debut are given another chance to be back on stage in The Unit. Korean top producers will give them a chance to shine in a brand new unit with new members, concepts and content.
On Mix Nine, YG Entertainment’s Yang Hyun Suk will visit management agencies across Korea to look for idol wannabes with potential and help them become a star. 400 trainees will be on the show, and for the final stage of the competition, nine male and nine female trainees will get to compete. They will be competing against each other as a boy group and a girl group, and the winning team will win the name of “Mix Nine”. Unlike most idol survival programs which makes the contestants compete from the very first episode, Mix Nine will start with the stage in which the staff picks the contestants. The first half of the show will be “Enter Tour Step” and the second half “Competition Step”.
