Mykyta the Fox is the first Ukrainian animated series made in the country since it declared independence. The series is based on the eponymous satirical fairy tale in verse by Ivan Franko. The budget of the series amounted to UAH 10 million. A theatrical pre-release was held at Kinopalats in Kiev on 15 June 2007. The series premiered on TV in 2009 on Pershyi Natsionalnyi after it had been already released on DVD in 2008.
"Chortovyiky" is a small, cut-off countryside town. The Spindrift crash-lands, and the damage renders it inoperable.

Grim & Evil also known as Maxwell Atoms' Grim & Evil and promotionally referred to as The Grim & Evil Show, is an American animated television series created by Maxwell Atoms. It was broadcast on cable TV Gala Television Variety Show/CH 28 on 8 August 2007 to 23 October 2007. The prequel KO One was broadcast on 26 November 2005 to 27 May 2006 and a threequel, K.O.3an Guo was broadcast on 28 February 2009 to 27 February 2010, on cable TV Gala Television Variety Show/CH 28.

ReGenesis is a Canadian television program produced by The Movie Network and Movie Central in conjunction with Shaftesbury Films. The series, which ran for four seasons, revolves around the scientists of NorBAC, a fictional organization with a lab based in Toronto. The organization investigates problems of a scientific nature, such as bio-terrorism, mysterious diseases or radical changes in environment throughout Canada, the United States, and Mexico. NorBAC is headed by David Sandström, the chief scientist and molecular biologist. Through this character the show often addresses topical social, political and ethical issues related to the science at hand. The series was originally seen on The Movie Network and Movie Central with rebroadcasts on Global and Showcase in Canada. Internationally it can be seen on FX in the United Kingdom, The Science Channel, Halogen TV and in syndication and CW Plus in the United States, and FX Latin America in Mexico; as well as numerous broadcasters in Europe and Asia. International distribution is handled by Oasis International. As of April 2012 the show can also be seen on Hulu.com.
Darna is a 2005 drama fantasy action television series based on the Mars Ravelo's fictional character of the same name and a loose adaptation of the 2003 Mars Ravelo's Darna Miniseries by Mango Comics. It aired on Philippine television on GMA and starred top actress Angel Locsin as the iconic superheroine. It premiered in Filipino homes on April 4, 2005 and ended on November 25, 2005. The official title of the series is Mars Ravelo's Darna.

Dark Season is a British science-fiction television serial for adolescents, screened on BBC1 in late 1991.
