Big Break

Big Break is a British game show based around the game of snooker, mixed with traditional game show elements. It was broadcast on BBC1 between 30 April 1991 and 9 October 2002. It influenced a later game show for the network called Full Swing, but based around golf, and itself was in part influenced by ITV's long-running darts quiz Bullseye.

Fuji Television Cup - Grand Sumo Tournament

A 1-day single-elimination professional sumo tournament held in February each year. Features bouts of sumo wrestlers from the top two divisions. The event includes unique "oldboy sumo" exhibition fights in which retired wrestlers (now stable masters) compete and an obligatory three-way play-off in the juryo division.

Know Your Sport

Know Your Sport is an Irish sports quiz show produced by RTÉ between 8 October 1987 and 1 April 1998. The show was presented by George Hamilton and featured Jimmy Magee and Mary Hogan as scorekeeper. Rounds of questions included the "specialist subject", "great moment in sport", "mystery guest" and "buzzer" rounds. In 2009 an appeal to re-introduce the show to RTÉ's schedule gathered support on networking website, Facebook.
