A Peaceable Kingdom is an American television drama series that aired in 1989. The series was short-lived and was cancelled after only seven episodes.

Zoo Family

Follows a family who live at Melbourne Zoo in Victoria, Australia. Doctor David Mitchell is the zoo's veterinarian. His children Nick and Susie love being with all the animals.

Real Life in the Zoo

The animals play the main role in this series. The animals are the real main characters and the supporting roles are for the caretakers or zoo staff. Decisive for the program is the camera technology, which shows the animals' lives everywhere behind the scenes and out of sight of the audience. We experience the 24-hour feeling within the walls of the zoo, just like the animals themselves. The program is recorded at Ouwehands Zoo in Rhenen, the Netherlands.

The Zoo

One by One

One By One is a British television series made by the BBC between 1984 and 1987. The series, created by Anthony Read, followed the career of international veterinarian David Taylor and his work caring for exotic animals at zoos in Britain, from the 1950s to the 1970s. Each series was set during a different decade, with exteriors filmed at Dudley Zoo, Chester Zoo and Knowsley Safari Park. Thirty-two episodes were made in total. Rob Heyland starred as Turner, while other major cast members included James Ellis, Sonia Graham, Peter Gilmore, Heather James, Catherine Schell, Peter Jeffrey, Andrew Robertson and Christina Nagy.

A Happy Homecoming

The series chronicles the return home for some 2500 Montreal Biodome resident animals after their temporary relocation during a major renovation. It’s a televised odyssey of the stages the lovable mammals, fish, birds, reptiles, and amphibians from five different ecosystems in the Americas went through and the amazing logistical, biological, and scientific challenges that were overcome in the process.

The Stationary Ark

The Stationary Ark was a documentary television miniseries hosted by zoologist Gerald Durrell on location at his Jersey Zoological Park in the United Kingdom. It was based on his 1976 book of the same name. The series was produced by Canadian company Nielsen-Ferns and aired from September to December 1975 on CBC Television and TVOntario. Ark on the Move, a follow-up TV series, was also hosted by Gerald Durrell.
