The last time we met Tinka, she introduced the Collection, where representatives from the four regions of the Kingdom of the Gnomes and a single person together ruled and decided. However, the new form of government does not work as Tinka had hoped, and she has therefore begun to doubt her abilities as the leader of the elves. Meanwhile, at the telephone exchange, the switchboard operator listens in on the conversations so that she is the first to know everything.
The Julekalender was a Danish TV series that ran at Christmas 1991. It was written and performed almost entirely by a trio of Danish comedy musicians called De Nattergale with financial and technical assistance from TV2, a Danish television company. It was hugely successful at the time, causing many invented phrases from the series to enter popular culture and was later released on VHS, and recently, DVD. It had 24 episodes, as has been typical of other TV "calendars" before and since The Julekalender.
Sømanden Otto (Brandenburg) har bugseret sit gode skib ”Julia” ind i Skilteskoven. Her nyder han freden og roen, alene med sin trofaste følgesvend, papegøjen Bounty (Søren Thorup), og ugentligt besøg af Landhandelens Karen-Marie (Karin Jagd), indtil borgmesterens datter ”Henry” (Amalie Ihle Alstrup) farer vild, og søger nattely på skibet… Duftforhandleren Viggo Velva (Axel Strøbye) har dog ikke tænkt sig, at Otto skal blive i granskoven. Han forsøger, på alle (lovlige og ulovlige) måder, at overtage skoven, for at kunne brænde den ned, så han kan bruge duften af afbrændt gran til sit nyeste projekt ”Jul på Dåse”. I bunden af skibet ”Julia”, det sted Otto kalder Sumpen, bor de tre nisser; Kogle, Multe og Stub (LINIE 3). De gør alt hvad der står i deres magt for at hjælpe Otto, Henry og Karen-Marie mod Velvas miljøfjendske planer. Og det bliver ikke lettere, da Velvas nevø, popsangeren Willy Vox (Tommy Kenter), dukker op…

Finn Nissen, Regner Worm and all the other characters from the small local Tv-station "Channel Wild Card" is back on screen. Unfortunately the Ministry of Culture has suspenden their license, so instead they have launched their own satelitte from where they broadcast their show world wide every evening.
