Live to Dance was a United States television reality program and dance competition on the CBS network. Dancers from all over the country auditioned for Live to Dance in "specially constructed Dance Domes". Resembling the British dance competition series Got to Dance, the show was first shown on January 4, 2011, and was headlined by the American Idol judge Paula Abdul as lead judge with Andrew Günsberg as host. Judging alongside Abdul were Kimberly Wyatt, the former member of Pussycat Dolls, and Michael Jackson's long-time choreographer Travis Payne. The show was intended to rival So You Think You Can Dance and unlike most other reality shows, allowed dancers of all ages to compete. The series was not renewed for a second season. An Australian version was filmed in 2011.
American Bandstand was an American music-performance show that aired in various versions from 1952 to 1989 and was hosted from 1956 until its final season by Dick Clark, who also served as producer. The show featured teenagers dancing to Top 40 music introduced by Clark; at least one popular musical act—over the decades, running the gamut from Jerry Lee Lewis to Run DMC—would usually appear in person to lip-sync one of their latest singles. The show's popularity helped Dick Clark become an American media mogul and inspired similar long-running music programs, such as Soul Train and Top of the Pops. Clark eventually assumed ownership of the program through his Dick Clark Productions company.

Tanssii tähtien kanssa is a Finnish version of the British BBC television series Strictly Come Dancing. The show has run on MTV3 since March 3, 2006, on Sunday evenings. The sixteenth season will be aired in the fall of 2023. The show was originally hosted by Marco Bjurström and Ella Kanninen. Ella Kanninen left the show after the second season and was replaced by model and Season 2 contestant Vanessa Kurri. In 2009, Kurri was replaced by Vappu Pimiä after only one season. Marco Bjurstöm left the series after Season 4 and Mikko Leppilampi took over as host. Ella Kanninen returned to host the seventh season due to Pimiä's maternity leave; Pimiä will return to host the eight season with Leppilampi. From 2022 Pimiä was joined by Ernest Lawson. The series' title is a pun on the title of the film Dances with Wolves, Tanssii susien kanssa.

Got to Dance, originally titled Just Dance, is a reality talent show dance competition that has been broadcast on Sky1 in the United Kingdom and Ireland since 20 December 2009. Auditions for the show take place in specially built Dance Domes and are open to all dance acts of any age, style or size but must be of an amateur level. The show is broadcast on Sky1, also in high definition, and is hosted by Davina McCall, with Ashley Banjo, Kimberly Wyatt and Aston Merrygold as judges. In series 1–3, Adam Garcia was a judge and was replaced by Merrygold in series 4. Since series 2, the prize money is £250,000 for the winning act.

It is known to be the world's first drama serial ever transmitted, and explained the trials of a couple named Ann and Harold respectively, and starred Ann Todd. The hosts of the special were Guts' Mike O'Malley, Double Dare and What Would You Do?'s Robin Marrella, who also served as referee, and Nick Arcade's Phil Moore, who also represented Double Dare due to his hosting the now-defunct traveling live show at the time. Representing Legends of the Hidden Temple was the character of "Olmec," voiced by Dee Bradley Baker. USA Today described the show as merging "the best games from Guts, Double Dare, Legends of the Hidden Temple and What Would You Do? into one big show." The show additionally combined all-star players from its contemporaneously-airing game shows Legends of the Hidden Temple and Guts with celebrities for fun.
The X Factor is a New Zealand television reality music competition, originating from the original UK series and based on the Australian The X Factor production format. The first series premiered on the TV3 channel on 21 April 2013, with regular Sunday and Monday screenings weekly. The show is open to anyone aged 14 and over, and the winner will be signed to Sony Music Entertainment New Zealand. Mitamura Yukio is the founder and president of a rapidly growing apparel company. However, it is actually a company that exploits its employees. Mitamura places priority on the company’s profits and has been overworking his employees but he sees nothing wrong. Instead he believes that hard work is necessary to achieve results. Therefore, demanding work is justified. He does not think his beloved company exploits its employees. Mitamura has delegated work to his subordinates and has time to enroll in a university to study company management from the basics. This is where he meets a new lecturer Akiyama Kyoko. Although he feels attracted to the intellectual Kyoko, the complete differences in their environment and way of thinking results in frequent clashes. Then there are the young people called the “pressure-free generation”. Mitamura looks down on this bunch who would never get a job with his own company. But in an unexpected turn of events, he has interactions with these university students, and because of that, he gets inspired and learns a lot of things. On the other hand, the attempt to oust Mitamura is gathering strength within his company. Mitamura himself soon realises that his company exploits its employees and a power struggle begins inside.
