This documentary full of colour and sound, filmed in California in 1978, recounts the ups and downs of the journey of the Quebec musical group Harmonium, who came to feel the pulse of Americans and see if culture, their culture, can succeed in crossing borders.

Migue, the oldest member of the band Los Chicos, is kidnapped prior to a show. After the concert, the band receives a call telling them the location where they can rescue Migue. They decide to escape police protection and make their way to the port in hopes of finding him.

The story revolves around the desire to succeed that drives the trio, as well as the romantic relationships established between them. Seen today, it must be as delicious as it is moving, especially considering that it premiered a year before Massiel caused a national earthquake by winning at the Eurovision Song Contest with the famous "La, la, la".
