Overview

Dung-aw (Lament), 16mm. experimental short film on children of war produced by Goethe Institut was awarded Best Experimental Film, 1991 Gawad Urian (Filipino Film Critics Award) and 1st Place Experimental Film Category, 1990 CCP Gawad Para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video (Cultural Center of the Philippines' Award for Alternative Film and Video).

Diego and Gabriela Silang are landed Ilocos natives disaffected with the imposition of the indulto de comercio (a law giving right to Spanish officials to buy rice and tobacco at the price they prefer).
