Santa, an eight-year-old girl from the desolate Bolivian Altiplano, embarks on a rollercoaster journey to take her mother from a life of misery into paradise. The two of them made a pact: when her mother passes, the girl would follow the stars and carry her body across the desert toward heaven, a place they are certain is physically real. Crossing the wilderness, Santa encounters a group of female wrestlers that help her on her way. Also, a gruff policeman who arrests Santa but soon suspects she has magical powers. He decides that to achieve his own salvation he must join Santa on her quest beyond the horizon.

Cargas D’Água” is an authorial and regional Brazilian musical written and directed by Vitor Rocha (author of Casusbelli) which, because it does not need great resources and has a short duration, is nicknamed “a pocket musical”. It's a story that begins right in the middle of Brazil: in the hinterland of Minas Gerais. A boy loses his revered mother and ends up forgetting his own name, because his stepfather, now the only member of the family, only calls him “kid”. But everything changes when he makes a friend, nothing ordinary, a fish, and starts to see his whole story with different eyes. Now he has a mission: to take his friend to see the sea.

Sea of Lions

This documentary captures a deeply personal journey by Argentinian actor and musician, Nicolás Pauls, to the Uruguayan coast. This area hosts two of the world's foremost sea lion colonies. Isla de lobos and Cabo Polonio. A famed sanctuary for hundreds of thousands of sea lions. Pauls presents the two sides of the complex conflict between the local artisanal fisherman, struggling to earn their living and the sea lions who risk their survival in leaving the boundaries of the island.
