The journey of a seashell, from being a hermit crab’s refuge on the beach to gathering dust on a shelf as a grandmother’s nostalgic souvenir.
The sea can be many things; provider of food and work, playmate or harbinger of death. Set in the 1950s in the fishing town of Nazare, the ocean takes different shapes as it interacts with each member of a small family.
During a tedious train journey, Tara becomes separated from her parents and begins exploring the train cars, encountering strange creatures along the way. Without realizing it, she enters an endless labyrinth of wagons where fear and anxiety begin to haunt her. As she moves forward, Tara must confront her fears and learn how to control them a journey that Will lead her to grow and mature as a person.
